May 13, 2009: Nuggets playoffs were on, but so were the tornado sirens. I had a great view of the storms as they headed for us. See the flag in the foreground whipping out of the south, into the storms.

It's around 10 PM...the light is provided by lightning. It was continuous. I took these shots with a 2-4 second exposure. Feature of interest is just left of center. I never saw it rotating.

This photo was taken at about the time +/- 5 minutes of the Lake Stanley Draper tornado. This would be about 15 miles NNW of our house, which is exactly where that lowering is located in this photo.

Probably the best shot I have. Left of center is a conical lowering. In real time watching it, I didn't think much of it...didn't appear to be rotating but it does look pretty cool...and tornado damage was confirmed the next day right around that area. The very bottom of a ground strike is visible in the far right.

The stuff to the right headed for Jim LaDue's house...no tornadoes but they sounded the sirens once again.
